The main goal of our Teckie Tutor Program as to increase your knowledge of technology as it relates to communication and mass media in a Virtual Team environment. Through this process, you will learn about new and emerging technologies. The information and tools will further your technology knowledge and hopefully lead to a successful career in the area of technology.
Project ManagementThe assignments for the project will be allocating activities and splitting up duties to produce learning tools for a given topic. This assignment will practice collaborative computing and Virtual team skills. The final project and presentation will be given to members of our community and allow you to explore issues in collaborative computing, relate them to real-life, and come up with a definitive solution.

Teckie Tutor Project assignment is to create a training system to help learn how to use technology tools. The assignment will focus on presenting the material in a way that would be easy to understand for someone who has never used the tool before. The Project will present the information in an interesting but logical way that will make it easy to learn. The information will be presented in a variety of contexts: written, spoken and video learning. We will focus on creating a Website, printable handouts, and video tutorials. On each site a survey will be placed to continually gather ways to improve our websites. You will also deliver hands on training session. Students will manage the project from start to finish. You will learn firsthand what things can go wrong, how to revise them and how to move on with the project in order to avoid delays. This will be a great learning experience and benefit all of you to become better project managers.
Your team will decide on the depth of the topic and how to approach each topic.
Plus you will be given an option to hold a Technology Teaching day in which we will invite teachers, parents, grandparents, neighbors to come work with you one on one learning the separate topics. You will only have to explain your unit.
